About Us

Dear Single Ladies that I want… (all else, skip to the next paragraph)

Look deep into my eyes. Feel the pull of your animal attractions to me. Your blossoming desire flowers and dews for me. Come to me my dear. Come to me and learn Love!!! What? What do you mean you didn’t bring your flower. Oh hell. Wait wait wait… come back baby. Just wait for the picture to change… see! That’s the one. No, of course I wasn’t asking if YOU farted. It must’ve been your dog. Is my bathroom clean? Uhh… I’m really really smart. I’ve got a really big brain. I’m a really nice guy too.

Come and get me ladies. It’s on!!!

To everyone else…

Not too much to say about what I do here. I have many interests all of which correlate to a few guiding principles about art and design. Art, like design, should be based upon simplicity, a conceptual presence in our world of the divining and driving forces of our construction and existence. Very little goes little goes into creating what we are, and when I say that what I mean more precisely is that the reapplication of numerous simple concepts and patterns creates the beauty that we live in every single day.

Our lives are blessed with simplicity and the complexity that we require to understand it. For how can we appreciate the depths of simplicity without wading in the shallow end of drama and blind complexity? This is not to dispel or badmouth the necessity and natural state of complexity. Complexity obviously provides us what we know and Love… human interaction.

In the speaking a single word, the word itself is simple; it is a word. But the actions of utterance and delivery is simplicity multiplied into complexity. We must know what to say, how to say it, when to say it. We exercise voluntary and involuntary muscles. Neurons fire by will but without comprehension of their workings. Wind rattles past muscles and vibrates the passing air. In this we open our mouths, announce ourselves to the world, and more importantly to the person who is to receive our communication. This often requires an understanding of culture, society, language and the other person. The simple task of speaking to another is not so simple, but so well designed are we to communicate that these tasks are largely transparent to us and so communication becomes a constant ability and a bridge to our own sanity.

Communication, being known, and knowing others… this is why we are here: on the web, in coffee shops, with our loved ones. This is why we wake up, even if communicating takes up only a tenth of our waking day. And when we avoid communication it is often because speaking is so important that frenzy enters our head and obstacles are erected. Sometimes we even have hate because we have forgotten the simple lessons of communication: speak now, speak clearly, don’t be afraid, relax and Love the person you’re with. We have hate sometimes because we have forgotten how or declined to say what really matters to us. A soul that fails to communicate is a soul lost in itself. Do yourself a favor and say ‘hi’ to the person next to you. Do me a favor and say ‘hi’ to the cute girl next to you… give her my website!!!

This site is dedicated to my being known in this world, to saying what I want, and to being courageous in my communication. My art and work is an amalgam of these concepts discussed earlier: of simplicity and elegance, of complexity and recursion therein, of communication, and - of course - Love and Beauty.

This is a living document and changes will be made as necessary or seen fit. Enjoy it and I’ll thank you for it.

                                  -Andrew Britton
